Level up your French Toast game with this protein packed version we like to call Muscle Toast!


(2 servings)

  • ⅓ cup fat free milk (or milk alternative)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg whites
  • 34g protein powder*
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 slices of whole wheat bread*

Fruit topping (optional)

  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 1 tbsp whole fruit preserves
  • 1 tbsp water


  1. Whisk together milk, eggs & egg whites in a large bowl. Add protein powder and cinnamon and whisk until mixed completely. 
  2. Soak the bread in the mixture until soggy, about 30 seconds. 
  3. Coat a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Place the soaked bread on the skillet and cook for 2 minutes per side, or until golden brown. 
  4. While the bread is cooking, mix together the banana, preserves & water in a bowl. Top golden brown muscle toast with fruit mixture. 
  5. Enjoy!
