With summer approaching quickly, it’s becoming increasingly important to stay hydrated! But, just water isn’t always going to cut it, especially in the excruciating heat of the south where we are located. When we sweat, our body is losing not only water, but also minerals called electrolytes that help keep our pH balanced, move nutrients into our cells & waste out of cells and they help ensure our nerves, muscles, heart and brain are all functioning. So, especially when we sweat heavily, like on a 100+ degree day in Austin TX, it’s exceptionally important that we replenish these electrolytes!

Here is a great 3-ingredient recipe to make your own electrolyte drink, it’ll save you money and spare you all of the synthetic additives & extra sugar that tend to be added to your typical mass produced electrolyte drink.

So, go get your sweat on and enjoy this delicious DIY Electrolyte Beverage to replenish and refresh!
